Bedroom Toys

Up until a few weeks ago, I kept all of my sex toys in a shoe box. I have lots of shoe boxes in my closet and I kept this one way in the back, so I figured it was a good hiding spot. I didn’t think the kids would go looking through my shoes to see what different shoes I have. And apparently I’m not alone in this thinking. But, there was always that fear in the back of my mind – what if they do? So Rob and I decided to invest in a lock box briefcase sort of thing to store the goods. We thought, “This is perfect. It’s got two locks and plenty of room. We’ll store it under the bed or in the closet and we won’t have to worry about the kids finding ‘our stash’.”

Well. Let me tell you – that lock box has invited more questions and conversations and lies than the inconspicuous unlocked shoe box ever did! I am now more worried that Aric is going to break into the lock box than I ever was that he’d accidentally happen upon our little old shoe box. So now the search is on – again.

Google has provided some gems. How about instead of a shoe box – a hanging shoe organizer? Too big? What about a desk organizer then? No? A spice rack, perhaps? Or how about a $40 discreet box from Good Vibrations? That seems like the best (and only?) option at this point.

So tell me. Where do you keep your bedroom toys?

OMG! How sick is it that my 10 year old son has that SAME EXACT desk organizer? (minus the sex toys) ROFL!

    I don’t own any toys, so I can’t help you out. ;o)

Nightstand drawer with all the panties and socks – the girls know better than to root in my stuff, and the mere sight of girlie underwear gets a “gross” from Matthew, so it’s safe. For now.

Just in P’s nightstand drawer. Shan’s never been a “snooper” so we’ve never had a problem.

In our headboard. Kids have found them all and know where they are and routinely ask us if we need batteries. I love my kids. *sigh*
