Whatever I Feel Like

We’re having storms tonight, a new weather system is bringing with it cooler weather. Tomorrow’s high is only going to be 65. I guess summer is definitely officially over. Wahhh. It’s time to start getting ready for the Holiday season – they all end up running together more and more the older I get. I am actually very excited about celebrating them in our new house. I want to deck the place out especially for Christmas. I’d like to do stuff for Halloween, but I’m just not sure we’ll have the time. I’ll probably just do a fall theme kind of thing with pumpkins and corn stalks – just real traditional stuff.

I remember when I was a kid, we always had total ghetto decorations for fall: you know the big cardboard cutouts taped to the windows and doors. Heh. Reminds me of the Eddie Murphy skit when he talks about the welfare hamburgers with the big ole green peppers sticking out. Also, “You ain’t got no ice cream!”

So what does everyone think about the whole T.O. thing?? While I was home for lunch, we had the TV on ESPN at first because we were expecting his press conference at 1:30. It got delayed and we switched the channel because the commentators were driving us crazy with all their speculation and hype over the whole thing. It’s amazing the things that come out of people’s mouths when they are forced to fill air time.

I watched the press conference live on the web and I couldn’t believe what a joke the whole thing was. I definitely felt like Terrell was in pretty good shape for someone who supposedly had just tried to OD on painkillers. I didn’t quite understand his story about the remainder of the pills being in a drawer somewhere, though. That part seemed kind of shifty. What surprised me most, though, was how unprofessional his spokesperson was! Where did he find this chick? I could do a better job than she’s doing, ten times over. I need to let T.O. know this. ;-) I was also amused when Terrell thanked the Dallas PD since they were the ones who leaked the police report stating he had overdosed and he seemed to be extremely pissed off that there were rumors circulating about this. Um, as far as I know, the press didn’t make it up – they got it right from the police report! Maybe I’m mistaken though. Please let me know if you’ve got proof that I am. I’m all ears!
