I’m a Halloween Scrooge this year. I don’t know what it is, but I just haven’t been able to get into the spirit of the holiday! We usually like to decorate the house, carve the pumpkins and on October 31st, I wake up with a sense of excitement. I love getting dressed up and going out with the kids trick or treating – it’s usually a lot of fun for our whole family. This year? I forgot it was even Halloween until I was up for a bit. I have no plans or desires to dress up tonight to go out with the kids. We didn’t decorate our house at all – didn’t even buy pumpkins! We should be all pumped up for this now, especially since we’re in our new house! The only scary thing about this Halloween is my total lack of excitement about it. Boo.
I’m right there with ya. Didn’t decorate, didn’t even buy a pumpkin, much less carve one. Halloween seemed to sneak up on me this year and I’m in no mood for it. Glad I’m not the only one.
