Whatever I Feel Like

So remember I talked about those vows… for better or for worse, all that good stuff? Well, I have a story to tell you.

When Rob and I were first married, I had a somewhat, uh, volatile temper. Ahem.

So one night Rob was ironing his uniform, as usual – he had a total OCD thing going on with making sure his uniform was the most crisp, starched, perfectly pressed piece of camouflage on the Air Force base. He had a plastic spray bottle that he used to dispense his starch – he was highly attached to this spray bottle. It was a very odd thing.

Anyway, on this night we got into a fight about who knows what. Probably something major like he didn’t give me a long enough kiss when I got home from work. Heh. But whatever it was, he really pissed me off because I took his precious starch spray bottle and threw it across the room, or at him… one of those. Hahaha… and the poor spray bottle broke. I thought Rob was going to cry. Seriously. Because you know there were no more plastic spray bottles left at Wal-Mart for him to buy and all.

Surprisingly, we got through that awfully mature interaction… but not without permanent emotional scars on Rob’s part. He ended up telling this story to his employees a while back and since these guys forget nothing and are always looking for ways to tease Rob, they presented him with an early anniversary present last week.
