I don’t know what it is with me lately, but I’ve had this thing about watching Jeopardy! every night. It brings a strange sense of comfort and stability for some reason. Last night I missed it and I got kind of upset when I noticed it. You know what other show I like to watch that gives me warm fuzzies? Roseanne. I’ve been DVRing the episodes and watching the ones I haven’t seen before. My kids love that show, too. What an unlikely combination, eh?

Friday, December 29th, 2006This must be the year of the puppy! First, we got Grace and next thing I knew, my blogging buddies followed suit and got their own bundles of joy. Terri & Kevin ended up with Luke earlier this week and Heather just adopted Isis today. How exciting! We’re going to watch our babies grow up together. Awww.
Bangs
Friday, December 29th, 2006On Christmas day, my bangs reached that critical mass stage. You know what I’m talking about. One day the bangs are fine and the next you can’t do a thing with them. So I did what any reasonable person does on Christmas day – I cut them myself! Of course, the first try didn’t make the cut (ba da bum) and I had to keep trying to make them right. I ended up with bangs a lot shorter than I’m used to… that didn’t lay right, to boot! I made an appointment to get my hair cut and I went on Wednesday. She fixed it up, but she wasn’t able to make my bangs longer for some reason.
Note to self: leave bangs alone! Leave them to the professionals or you will end up looking 10 years old.

Walks
Friday, December 29th, 2006Grace has started going for her first walks. Awwww. We tried a few days ago, but she was still just a little too young for it. Last night, though, she was so riled up, I said to Rob, “She needs a walk or something to get this energy out!” So he leashed her up and off they went. He said she did really well except for the last little bit she cried – I guess she got tired. This morning he took her for another walk and said she did fine the whole way. I want to start walking her, too, I bet she looks soooo adorable going down the street with her little 8 1/2 week old self strutting on the leash. Hey, maybe I’ll get some video for you all. Pictures are so 2006.
Where’s My Pill Box?
Friday, December 29th, 2006Oh my goodness, I’m like an old lady here this week with all the meds I’m taking each morning. I actually think I took too many at once today because my stomach got real sick for a while there. Ugh. I did take the medicine with my breakfast, though, so I think that helped to line the stomach and I didn’t end up barfing. Here’s what I took: 1 Zyrtec (for allergies), 2 Sudafed (for nasal congestion), 1 Vitamin C, 1 multivitamin, 2 Tylenol, 2 Advil (for pain in my mouth/throat), 1 Zithromax (antibiotic). That’s a lot of pills at once, huh? I should have probably staggered them. I hope none counteracted any of the others!
