Google Click to Call & Traffic

Google really is going to take over the world, aren’t they? I’ve seen two applications this week that just blew me away. The first one was the “Call” feature on Google Local. When you do a search for a local listing, a link titled “Call” appears next to each listing which, when clicked, prompts you for your phone number. Once entered, Google will place the call to the business for you. As soon as you hit enter, the phone number you entered rings, waiting to connect you to the business. Very, very cool. We’re already looking into how we can maximize this feature at work.

The second feature is on Google Maps and it’s called “Traffic”. Key in a location, then click on the “Traffic” link in the top right to see real-time traffic data overlaid on the map. Powerful!
