Road Rage

I know I’ve had moments of road rage before… I think most drivers have. I used to do aggressive things like cutting in front of people who cut me off and slamming my brakes. I don’t do that any more because I try to use the slogan “How important is it?” in most things in life today. And someone cutting me off is really not that important. I can choose to be angry and let it affect me or I can choose to say, “Wow, that guy was a jerk,” and move on. It’s just easier to do the latter, ya know? And my days go so much smoother.

I was just reading about a road rage incident now being referred to as McMissle. This woman was cut off in traffic on a hot, sticky day this past July… and decided to pull up on the shoulder to the car who cut her off and launch a McDonalds cup filled with ice at it. Not a smart move and one that has cost her dearly. She was just sentenced to two years in prison for it! I think that’s a bit outrageous. She definitely should have been punished, but jail time? A bit overboard.
