I Heart Pandora

Since I lost my external hard drive … [moment of silence] … I’ve been mourning my mp3s and iTunes. I try not to think about it too much or I will just get really upset. It’s not the end of the world, I know, so I try to think about things that really matter. Or just something besides the fact that I lost thousands of songs! OMG, I lost a ton of tunes, you guys!!! Okay, collecting myself.

Today, I had some graphic design work to do, and I always get more inspired when I can listen to music while I’m designing. I had checked out Pandora in the past, but I never really used it. I think I saw it when it first launched and it just told you other artists you might like instead of actually creating a radio station for you how it does now. Well, I’m in love. All day long, songs in the genre I like have been playing. I’m discovering new artists and I’m generally jamming. Very cool. Hard to believe this is free. Gotta love ads!

My next mission is to find a pair of headphones that don’t kill my ears. The headphones pressing up against my ears while I’m wearing hearing aids can be pretty painful. My ears and cheekbones were hurting when I left work today, but I was peaceful from having listened to music all afternoon, and that’s all that mattered.

They’d be bigger, but I wonder if the noise cancelling headphones would work for you… they generally surround the ear rather than putting the pressure directly on it.
