I’m participating in the first ever Boring Day Blog Carnival. Fun!
I’m irritated with Flickr, though, since my pictures didn’t get uploaded in the right order – they’re all jumbled. Grr. Anyway, here was my day yesterday. There are 47 pics and I feel like I left so many things out. They’re all after the jump.
The first thing I usually see every morning after I turn my alarm off. My sweet little Gracie.

After stumbling around the house for a few minutes, I hop in the shower.

I don’t normally stand in front of the mirror and snap a picture, haha, but here I am in my robe and towel on my head.

Gotta get breakfast in the oven.

And then decide what to wear. My closet needs to be straightened out a bit… and I need a bigger one, don’t you think?

I decided on these socks. How adorable are they?

My morning sanity – I try to read from 2 or 3 of these daily readers before I start my day.

Here’s my current favorite perfume. I bought the samples on eBay since the regular size bottle costs about $200.

The “medicine” cabinet. Medicine for my face, I guess.

The face is on, albeit blurry.

Grace keeps me company while I get ready.

Not the clearest shot, but here I am fully dressed.

And with jewelry.

Time to put my ears on – I do this after my hair and makeup is done.

I’m ready to go now; here’s what I see when I walk out the door.

My ride.

Oops. Check engine light is on. Time for routine service.

A few of us have these hoses leading out of our sump pumps to drain the water on the street instead of flooding our yards after all the rain.

On my way to work, I see someone pulled over by the cops. That’s gotta be a crappy way to start your day.

Here’s one of the bottlenecks that turn my 3 mile drive into a 10-15 minute commute every day.

Almost there.

I made it in!

My somewhat cluttered office.

Gotta have the coffee in the morning. It’s Decaf House Blend from Starbucks pretty much every day.

This is what I look at all day long.

Now it’s time to eat! Yummy pineapple/blackberry loaf.

I go home for lunch every day to let Grace out. We don’t have a fence yet, so I have to keep her on the leash.

Let me out, Mom!

Ahhhhhhhhhhhh.

What shall I have for lunch? Slim pickings – I need to get to the grocery store.

But there’s still enough food to make one of my favorite lunches – “Abstinent Pizza”. It takes better than it looks, I swear.

Loading up the dishwasher – Grace helps.

Back at work, this goose is on guard, chasing every one in the parking lot because his mate has laid eggs nearby.

Here’s the nest.

Once I get off work, I go home and pick up Connor then head to the grocery store. Isn’t he cute pushing the cart?

After the grocery store, I head to Wal-Mart to get Aric a protractor.

Finally, I get home and make dinner. I’m having my trusty standby – Tofu Steak!

With oven-baked sweet potato slices.

Grace loves the sweet potato, too.

Again, this tastes much better than it looks.

A side of freshly chopped veggies.

After dinner, I chilled out in front of the TV with Rob and Aric. I didn’t take their pictures, though.

Time to start my bedtime routine. I begin by washing my face.

Freshly scrubbed.

Night, night, Grace.

It’s calling my name.

I cuddle up with a good magazine and call it a day.

These boring days seem so much better than mine. There’s so much change in scenery whereas my boring day would probably consist of only my computer, my living room, and then the occasional microwave.
I love that bedding in your room. It makes the blue walls pop. And the drive to work looks so familiar…hmm…I think I’ve walked around there!
Your boring day was pretty good, your breakfast loaf looks yummy!
Lost? LOL Your breakfast loaf does look yummy… I curl up and read magazines in bed too!! Glamour is one of my faves. Thanks for sharing, that was fun!

It’s official. I love Grace…I MUST see her again! Oh yeah, and you too! ;)
Nice pictures!! It’s so cool to see what someone else’s typical day is like… I think I’ll try this carnival the next time around.
wow I am part of the love/linky deal that is going around. Thought I would visit since your on the list. That was a good boring post. Wasn’t boring at all. Just wondering about the food. Like the recipe for what you had for breakfast that looked interesting and then of course the pizza. What is the flavor of the steak. I am always looking for new, healthy for me recipes. Thanks Callie
Great pictures. Thanks for sharing a day in the life with us :)
Found your blog on the DoFollow List. Well, that wasn’t boring at all. And I love Gracie, too. Hope to see more of her here :-) Plus, you have nudged me in the right direction to get back to the fitness routine. I want to look like that in jeans!:-D
That’s some nice pictures that you are sharing! :D I always enjoy seeing how the lives of people in other parts of the world would differ from mine.
Where do you buy tofu steak? That looks yummy!
I usually buy the tofu steak in the health food aisle at Giant. I’ve only found it in stores with a health food aisle.
