WebTrends or Google Analytics Experts

Friday, June 29th, 2007

This is a shot in the dark… but, I’ll try anyway. Are there any WebTrends experts out there? And by expert, I mean, you’ve worked with WebTrends 8 Enterprise edition with the Smart Source Data Collector. Like I said, a shot in the dark, but I figured I’d try with my lovely readers before I go out actively searching. I actually am working with someone from WebTrends now, but I’m having a problem that has not been resolved for quite some time now and I’m looking at my alternatives.

I’m also running Google Analytics, and having a problem with the conversion funnel for one of my profiles – it just happens to be the same profile I’m having trouble with in WebTrends. Logic would say it’s a problem with the site and not the analytics programs, but in all the tests I’ve run so far, that doesn’t seem to be the case.

Anyway – if you’re a guru, please leave me a comment.

So You Think You Can Dance?

Friday, June 29th, 2007

As you can see, I haven’t started doing recaps of the show yet. I just haven’t had the time! I watched the regular show and the results show last night, and it’s all just a blur to me now after 3 hours of footage. I still think there are too many dancers for me to have any strong feelings about one or another yet. Last night as some of the couples came on, I found myself wondering who a couple of them were until they started dancing and I remembered that I liked them.

Anyway, what did you think about the solos last night? Nigel ripped all the girls a new one and then abruptly let Jessi go. What was that all about? He had not one word of kindness, advice, nothing for her. Just, “You’re leaving tonight.” Buh bye. It was a very awkward, uncomfortable moment for all involved. I don’t think even Cat Deely was expecting it to go down like that, and she seemed a bit flustered. Jessi pretty much refused to comment when Cat asked her if she had anything to say. I want to know the inside scoop on what really went down now!

Oh, and word to the judges – next week when you’re judging the couples, don’t predict that anyone will be going home the next night. That tactic obviously backfired as America gave you all the middle finger and voted to keep Cedric and Shauna out of the bottom three. Also? Ditch Debbie Allen. She was the worst judge this show has seen yet. I don’t care if she’s an icon in the dance industry, she’s worthless as a judge.

Okay, I might not have done an “official” recap like I normally do, but I obviously still had something to say about the show this week. What are your thoughts?

RIP Liz Claiborne

Wednesday, June 27th, 2007

Aww, I just read that Liz Claiborne passed away yesterday. She was 78 years old, bless her heart. I still remember when I first discovered the Liz Claiborne brand, and thought I was some hot shit right there. From her business suits with the giant, embedded shoulder pads, to her perfumes and purses, I was one stylin’ chick in the 90s thanks to Liz. Today I’m not so much a fan of her perfumes any more, but I still buy her clothes and shoes. I hope the company brand doesn’t change too much now that she’s gone.

Dirty Jobs

Wednesday, June 27th, 2007

Do you watch the show Dirty Jobs? Rob turned me onto this show, and I’m just in love with it. Actually, I think I’m just in love with Mike Rowe, that man is hysterical! I love his dry, sarcastic sense of humor. Now I enjoy the show and have a mini-crush on Mike, and I love online forums, so I don’t know why I was surprised to see how busy the forums are on this show’s page on the Discovery Channel’s website. These people love them some Dirty Jobs, I guess – and apparently a lot more than me!

Maybe I’ll find Rob over there. heh.

Gonna Be A Dragon Ass Today

Monday, June 25th, 2007

My meds did a number on me last night! I went to bed a little after 11 and read for a short while before falling asleep. [I'm reading The Memory Keeper's Daughter currently, for those interested.] All was well until about an hour later when I woke up having to pee – because I did not fall back into a full sleep after that. I kept waking up, after tossing and turning, just about every hour. Finally, a little after 3, I got up and went to lay on the family room couch. I read for about an hour and a half and finally fell back asleep around 5, only to have to wake up for work at 6:30. During the night I was tempted to get online to pass the time, but I knew once I sat in front of the computer, it would be all over and I would get no sleep at all. At least I got a little bit out of the deal. I’m not wiped out right now – but I feel fatigued, if that makes any sense. I need to take the same medication this morning, so hopefully it will just keep me wired and then I will crash hard tonight. I do not do well with little sleep – I’m a definite sleep brat!
