Oh my goodness, Diana - you've really been through the ringer. I am hoping the prednisone does the trick for me and I don't need to pursue any further. How painful was the cortisone shot?

Calcific tendonitis. Ouch! It attacked me about 6 weeks ago. So painful! I took oral prednisone and that helped take the inflammation down until they wore off. At least the range of motion is still better than at the beginning. Had a cortisone shot last week. Yesterday was the first visit to a physical therapist. Shoulder has remained pretty sore and achy. Hoping the physical therapy helps. Another 2 months and back to the specialist for more x-rays to see how it's progressing. 15 years older than you so hope you recover more quickly! Just wanted to share stories. Take care! Diana
