Rob and I really fell in love with the show Jericho that aired this past season. The characters were extremely compelling, and the story line was riveting. The season finale was a major cliff hanger that had us sitting on the edge of our seats and yelling, “How are we going to be able to wait until next season to see what happens??” We found out soon after that finale aired that the show was not being renewed, so we’d be waiting a whole lot longer than just a few months to wait for the outcome. What a disappointment.
It turns out we weren’t the only ones disappointed. There were online petitions and donation sites set up to flood CBS with how the fans felt about them canceling the show. And guess what?? It worked! CBS has decided to order 7 more episodes of the show for next season. Seven episodes is less than I would like, but hopefully the fans will continue to let their voices be heard – by way of the ratings – and the show will stay on for at least a few seasons. I’ll be reminding you all to watch as it gets closer – in the meantime, you can go to TV.com to view all the previous episodes. Watch them, and I bet you’ll be hooked on this show, too.

Cool, now maybe I’ll go watch the episodes that aired after the hiatus. I was hesitant to get interested again when I heard it had been canceled.
Did they plan to cancel the show because of low ratings or any other reason? My friends love that show too.. too bad i am not a TV person. I only watch the news… that’s where I heard about the online petitions..

I’m glad its coming back too, but not because I necessarily love the show.. in fact I think much of the acting is sub-par. I more or less got sucked into the storylines though.. and really want to see some conclusions.
Hubby is a huge Jericho fan. He was so excited when I told him it was coming back. Hopefully, they can get the ratings up so it’ll stay around after the 7 episodes.
