Whatever I Feel Like

We’ve got the TV back in the house, yo! It was empty in here for almost a week (was it really less than a week? It felt like months. ha!) without the TV in our upstairs family room. It’s funny, we’ve got this huge TV downstairs, but we don’t watch it very often. Rob and I will go down there to watch more adult shows like The Sopranos, but for the most part we stay up here to watch. I like to be able to get up, throw some laundry in, put the dishes in the dishwasher, or other miscellaneous chores while the TV is on and I can’t do that downstairs. Also, it’s a pain in the ass with Grace down there because she tortures the cats and gets into stuff. I’ve got shows on the DVR down there that I haven’t watched, I will have to get down there eventually, I guess.

But it’s going to be hard to tear myself away from the beautiful 50″ plasma set we just blew a ton of money on. I had some buyer’s remorse the next day, I have to admit. Are we insane? We need a fence and we spend our money on a television set?? I don’t know, even when I think about it again, though, I’d buy the TV again. I guess that means we made the right choice. The fence will come. We’ve lived this long with Grace and no fence, we’ll survive a bit longer.

So tonight is really the first night that I’ll be able to enjoy it – I’ve already settled in to watch So You Think You Can Dance and who knows what else I can find to keep me entertained in the background. Whatever it is, it will be super pretty – this screen is beautiful! Yay for new TVs! Still kind of sucks that our old one just died mysteriously though.
