When did patio furniture get so expensive? Last year I saw some cute sets at K-Mart of all places, so I thought we’d go there tonight to check some out. We need a nice set to go with our beautiful new patio! Dude. The sets were like 800 bucks. At K-Mart! I shudder to think what they are at a decent store. Guess we’ll be waiting until the end of season sales to get a set on clearance. Bummer, because I really wanted to sit out on the patio either just chilling out or on our laptops together in the evenings this summer.

We have a mix and match set because the complete sets were SO much money. We bought out table from Lowe’s and got the chairs from Target on sale for $15 each. They’re just simple black chairs, and they fold, but they look pretty and can be dressed up with cushions.
We bought a set at Walmart (though I hate to admit it) a couple of years ago – a decent sized rectangle table and six cushioned chairs – for $150. I can’t remember if it was on sale or not, but it still looks great!
This year we spent a fair amount on a patio set (though very nice and great to relax on) only to see the price drop earlier this week. I think I’ll be heading to the store for the difference. lesson..don’t purchase too early in the season. We’ve been eying a bar..so we’re hoping the price drops later in the summer..hopefully they’re still around :)
