What a week this has been. Very tumultuous at work – we’ve laid off about 15% of our workforce at the corporate office and my two guys gave their notice. But enough about that. Life goes on and I’m sure everything will work out exactly the way it is supposed to.
Tonight Rob and I are going to the Comedy Stop at the Tropicana in Atlantic City. We definitely need some humor to take us into the weekend. Before we head down there, though, we are dropping Grace off at a kennel pet resort and taking our kids to my parents’ house. After the show, we’re going to my sister-in-law’s family shore house where we’re spending the rest of the weekend. Can.not.wait to get down there.
Tomorrow we’re going to Picture People to get family portraits taken for my parents’ 40th wedding anniversary. That should be fun; there will be between 13 and 15 of us depending on if my parents decide to get in the picture – crammed into a mall portrait studio. This will be blogging material if nothing else.
And I just found out the best news of the week – we were originally coming back from the shore early because we had to come into work on Sunday – and now we don’t have to do that. Yes! I really need the full two days off this week.
And how was your week? Anything fun planned for the weekend?
Oh MY. Can’t wait to see the family pictures. Just getting FOUR people to look decent for a shot is a challenge. Glad you’re getting some time away. Have fun, Sistah!
Lay-offs are always so stressful. Hope you come through unscathed!
Two consecutive adult only days! Sounds like bliss!
Looking forward to hearing about the Family Portrait Experience.
Oh have fun! I need a weekend off, too..
man, we had layoffs too recently. its not fun, but it sure helps with efficiency
I hope you waved as you went by.. I’m just right outside AC in Galloway! I hope you had a great time!
Happy Friday to you too! Oops this is Monday, hehe…
I haven’t passed through in a while so this is the first time I’ve seen your new layout… I like it! :)
Hope you had a great weekend, sounded like a lot of fun. You definitely needed it to get your mind off of the layoffs, 15% wow.
