I went home around lunch time today and got some sleep which helped with my physical condition. Then I got some news about work stuff that has really affected my emotional state. It’s been a rough day. At least it’s almost over.
I did some research about the poison stuff – I’m pretty sure it’s poison ivy. When I saw pictures of it, I recognized it immediately as stuff that is all over my back yard. Ugh! In fact, I took down a huge climbing branch of it a couple of weekends ago! I’m betting that is where Rob got the poison ivy he had a couple weeks ago. I’m not sure exactly where I got this from – it’s only from my knees down, so I obviously walked in it when I had on shorts and sandals. So far it’s not too itchy and I’m applying the clear anti-itch lotion at regular intervals.
My eye swelling went down, too. I can put away the concealer tomorrow, at least.
I took Grace to PetSmart tonight on a whim. I bought her the Everlasting Treat Toy and boy is it a hit! She hasn’t left this thing alone for the past 3 hours. We ran into another Chocolate Lab puppy there – she was 2 months younger than Grace and about half her size! She was also a lot lighter than Grace – the color I wanted Grace to be. When I was at the checkstand, the cashier asked me if I knew about their training classes for dogs pulling on the leash. HA! I think I need to take her up on her offer – my shoulder can’t take her pulling.
And now Aric and I are watching Cannonball Run II. He knows Burt Reynolds from Smokey and the Bandit, and when he first saw Burt make an appearance in this movie, looking much worse for the wear, he said, “Whoa! What happened to him?” Poor Burt – can’t even catch a break from a 10 year old. After seeing him in a pink Member’s Only jacket, though, he deserves the disdain. I mean, really.
I’m glad you are feeling better :) What about him in Boogie Nights? Whoa, when he first hit the screen on that movie, I had to take a double take.
Speaking of old actors. Have you seen Robert Redford lately? OMG!!!!! He looks like he got hit by a bus!
Yeah, didn’t let Aric see Boogie Nights, though. Heh.
