We’re leaving for a mini-vacation tomorrow morning and I’m so pysched. We haven’t taken a family vacation in two years and it’s desperately needed. We’re headed to the good ole’ Smokey Mountains Blue Ridge Mountains of Southwestern Virginia. Tonight I’m running around getting everyone finished packing and making all of my food preparations. I always feel like I need to bring every single household item and article of clothing we have ever owned with us, as if I am going on a trip to the wilderness the likes of which no man has ever seen before. In this place, there is no food, there is no shelter, there is no clothing – whatever we bring with us is what we get. I need to remember that the scary wilderness that exists only in my sick imagination is total and complete bullshit. I fantasize about the day where I go on a week-long trip with only a small travel bag in my possession without a care in the world.
So I’ll be back next Tuesday night. Don’t have too much fun without me, Internet!

Congrats on going on vacation! It sounds fun. I am on a ‘permanent’ vacation I guess you could say. I just moved to Norway last week. Anyways, I just wanted to tell you that I think your blog is really great…and I love the design. Have fun in the mountains!

You guys have frogs legs… I live in France and have yet to come across them in a restaurant although I have seen them in the deep freeze section of the local hypermarche.
