I Need a New NFL Team

Okay, I’m thinking the Eagles are out this season - and I’m sure Andy Reid will be out along with them when it’s all said and done - so I need a new team to root for. Is it root or route in that sentence? I never have figured that one out.
Besides Tampa Bay, Dallas, and the Giants - which team should I adopt? I’m leaning towards my sister’s team, the Packers, right now. Or perhaps, I should start being a Redskins girl since we want to become Virginia residents. I need a team that’s doing better than the Eagles, though, and while the Redskins could fit that bill, it might not be by much.
If I wake up in the morning and the Eagles have somehow pulled a win out of their butts with this game, I reserve the right to retract this post. :-P
You’re waking up to a miserable loss. McNabb was sacked unmercifully…so many times that the Giants tied a LEAGUE record (12) for sacks in one game…
It was very ugly.
Back in 1982, Howard Cossell was broadcasting a game in which the Baltimore Colts were playing. It was the strike shortened season and they were winless that year. Howard Cossell walked out of the booth on the game and said, the Colts are the worst team in NFL history, I’ll never broadcast another Colts game, ever. And he never did.
I heard that on the news and I decided that I needed to be a Colts fan. They disappointed me for many years, but imagine my excitement when they won the Super Bowl.
Like you, I’m looking for a new team. I wanna find one that isn’t that good, that no one truly loves. Maybe the Arizona Cardinals?
Well, I’d love to have you on my Redskins couch, but you gotta hang with your team through thick and thin.
And I adore that no one loves the Arizona Cardinals. Makes it easy peasy to get tickets when the Redskins play there.
If you start rooting for the Redskins, I will never speak to you again!
It figures they lost last night - I just bought myself a jersey. And Darla is right, I watched the whole thing and it was awful.
Bahaha, Geeky! Don’t disown me! ;-) I actually watched until the last 2 minutes. It was pitiful.
Let me just say…no self respecting Eagles fan would cheer on Dallas or the Giants…tsk tsk woman
…oh, and I agree with Kim…you can’t bail because they are doing poorly…gotta stick with them…hubby sticks with teh losing Jets year after year
Deb - re-read my post. I said any team BESIDES those! :-)
Ah, the Redskins, I have never liked them! They are one of those teams that always have screamed out, oh look at us, we are good.
Maybe try going with the Seahawks. They’re due for a good run sometime.
