Twittering In My Sleep

I recently started up Twittering again. I was turned off by it for some time because of the sheer amount of nonsense posting people did on it. However, I realized I was missing stuff by not participating, so I decided to get back on the bandwagon. Thankfully it seems as if the volume of tweets has gone down – now that the newness has worn off. The majority of tweets I see are much more meaningful than they used to be.

The other night I was sleeping, but when I woke up in between – you know how that happens? – a blog post formed in my mind. It seemed amusing at the time, but I’m not so sure how it will do in the translation from my sleepy, dream-induced mind to the Internet. You be the judge.

What happened was every time I rolled over or had to get up to pee or the dog got on my nerves, I thought, if I had a computer next to me, I’d Twitter my every move. Here’s what my middle of the night Twittering would look like for the record:

Just rolled over to my right side. My left shoulder was really hurting laying on it for so long. Must see doctor about this soon.

The damn dog won’t move. Why won’t she move? She is like an 80 pound log in my bed and now I’m missing 2 inches of covers on my back and ass. Miserable.

Getting up to pee. When did I stop being able to sleep the entire night without getting up to pee? Is there help for this?

Listening to Rob snore. Trying to get back to sleep.

Woke up and looked at the clock to see how much time I have left before morning. 3 hours – sweet!

Just had a great dream. Lost it when I rolled to the other side because of my shoulder hurting. Bummed.

Hitting the snooze button. Is it really morning already? Those 7 hours flew.

Hitting the snooze button again. Must get out of bed to go pee. Now.

And so there you have it, middle of the night Twittering. It was way more interesting in my mind in the middle of the night, I’m sure. :-)

What would your tweets look like if your brain could automatically send the info to Twitter through out the night?

This is eerie how similar some of my thoughts are. At least the style which I think them. Although, I’m most impressed that you were able to remember your thoughts enough to blog about them. I always forget it by morning.

I’ve been loving twitter. Automatic twittering from my brain would be very dangerous! LOL

What’s funny to me is that I have the same thoughts as I toss and turn at night. Especially when I look at the clock and discover, “Sweet! Three more hours to go.”
